High Volume e-Commerce Customer
This high volume e-Commerce client has over 30,000 client delivery points across Australia and New Zealand per month.
With a distribution centre based in Melbourne this requires significant accountability & visibility of all shipments.
Through the use of our TMS (Transport Management Software) we give the client and its customers full visibility of shipment status.
Major Plumbing & Building Supplier
This major bathroom and plumbing company had a supply-chain that was fragmented and complicated with 450+ carriers nationally servicing 4 DC's and a branch network of over 250 locations.
With no TMS or KPI/D IFOT reporting it was impossible to measure performance.
Transport Works put a TMS in place, KPI's and metrics to help manage and monitor cost and performance of the supply chain.
We set up a network to support the branches around the country and 1,300 number for all transport related queries.
We successfully reduced the level of damage and branch queries to around 1% of all shipments based on over 120,000+ shipments per annum.
We also reduce the number of transport providers in the network by more than 100.
World Leading Paper Merchant
This paper merchant has over 2,500 SKU's. Having the right product in the right DC to meet customer demand was simply not possible so this resulted in the business sending large volume sales orders interstate to meet client orders.
Transport Works was able to effect earlier delivery windows allowing orders to be fulfilled quicker. Significant reductions in freight spend by as much as 8% on high volume lanes.
World Leader in Building Systems & Controls
North American manufacture of electronics and HVAC equipment for buildings. Re-designed the west coast distribution for 3 of there larger business units, for goods being manufactured in Juarez, Mexico.
Successfully reduced the transit days by 1 whole day by changing the cross dock from Southern California to Phoenix Arizona. This also resulted in freight savings by as much as 13% in some states
High Volume e-Commerce Customer
Successfully assisted in relocating distribution from Sunshine Coast to Brisbane resulting in freight savings of over $150,000 per annum.
Implemented a new TMS (Transport management System) that interfaces with the customers ERP system.
